The Alexander Shiraz is my homage to the classic savoury style of Barossa Shiraz. In 2010, we were very lucky to be able to make a wine from this rare and extraordinary vineyard. After being fermented in open fermenters the wine was basket pressed before being matured in new American oak for 24 months. I have released a small number of bottles of this wine to our best customers and I am making a couple of bottles available here.

Having a glass as I tap this review actually! A great drop. Very easy to drink yet full of character and depth. Will definitely order this one again, plus I've put a couple aside for 5/10 years from now - who knows how well this already great wine will develop. Very happy.
