The Alexander Shiraz is my homage to the classic savoury style of Barossa Shiraz. This wine is sourced from a family nurtured single vineyard and with the help of my nephew Alex, we spirited the hand picked fruit up to Kanimbla Estate. After being gently crushed and open fermented the wine was basket pressed before being matured in new French oak. With lovely blackberry and spice and smooth tanins, this is my tribute to the way wine used to be made, balanced and delicious.
